Since installing 2,500 PermaNET+ devices in September 2018, Portsmouth Water has reduced the volume of water lost through leaks in its network by 6 million litres per day.
Spending an additional £2million on leak finding and repair is already paying off for Portsmouth Water as they are saving millions of litres of water and pipe repair time is down from 8 to 3 days.
In an in-depth article with Portsmouth’s ‘The News’ website, Richard Keates of Portsmouth Water explained that “leakage is a function of detection and repair time, and these devices allow us to find leaks very quickly and reduce the volume of water lost”.
PermaNET+ is the award-wining leak detection system that combines a leak noise sensor with versatile telemetry technology, creating a fixed network to monitor leakage.
Designed with the latest technology to maximise dial-in and minimise cost, PermaNET+ is a cost-effective fixed network monitoring solution.
Many of the UK’s largest water companies, including Affinity, Severn Trent, Thames and Yorkshire Water have also saved huge amounts of money and water through mass PermaNET+ deployment.
