PermaNET SU saves $23 million in lost water in Sydney, Australia
Sydney Opera House PermaNET SU

In partnership with colleagues in Australia, and working with University of Technology Sydney, we are delighted that a successful trial has saved the equivalent of $23 million in lost water for the people of Sydney, Australia.

Pairing our PermaNET SU leak noise loggers with AI software and advanced machine learning, Sydney Water is now monitoring leak hot spots, identifying leaks and targeting resources more efficiently.

In 30 months, the technology being trialled has saved over 10,000 megalitres of water (the equivalent of 4,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools), at a value of around $23 million.
