The PermaNet F leak noise sensors from HWM provide water network managers with a fixed network to monitor leakage. The compact sensors were designed to quickly install into small underground spaces, providing readings with dramatically reduced noise interference compared to those taken with above ground sensors.

Once installed, the PermaNet F sensors begin recording noise levels and tracking consistent noise to build a profile of the water network. Units can detect a leak after only one night. The sensors communicate with host software using cellular communication, allowing large amounts of data to be transferred with no radio mesh infrastructure to maintain. Data can be accessed on any web enabled device, and a remote correlation function helps the user determine the location of the leak.

With quick and easy setup, the PermaNet F sensors can be installed temporarily and then redeployed to a different area once a noise profile is built. This helps managers of large water networks perform regular sweeps of their entire systems for leaks.

The PermaNet F matches daily alarms with flow data to identify the size of the leak detected and prioritize leak alarms. PermaNet F sensors feature a long battery life, and are fully sealed and submersible with an IP68 waterproof rating.
