Water loss is a global issue, with approximately 346 billion (346,000,000,000!) litres of water lost from worldwide supply networks every single day!
To put that number into perspective, that’s enough water to fill approximately 138,000 Olympic size swimming pools!
To raise awareness of this, the Water Loss Specialist Group of the International Water Association (IWA) has established World Water Loss Day.
On World Water Loss Day, the IWA is encouraging everyone to share water saving tips and successes, with the aim of raising awareness of the scale of the water loss problem.
At HWM we’re committed to supporting water companies worldwide by providing effective and innovative leak detection solutions.
We have countless examples of our fixed network leak detection system, PermaNET+, supporting water companies in driving down leaks and achieving significant leak reduction targets.
In 2019 alone, both Yorkshire Water and United Utilities placed significant orders for PermaNET+, having experienced first-hand the benefits of the system in successful trials.
We’ve also recently launched PermaNET SU, a single unit, compact leak detection device which retains the features of PermaNET+ whilst being suitable for smaller, more challenging installation areas.
Our leak detection solutions are wide-ranging. From our DXmic Pro ground microphone to the Touch Pro correlation system, HWM provides intelligent, effective leak detection tools and is at the forefront when it comes to reducing water loss.
You can view a range of case studies on our website which demonstrate our abilities and successes in water loss reduction. To access these case studies please click here.
We’re delighted to be supporting the first World Water Loss Day and strive to continue to support water companies worldwide in hitting ambitious leak detection targets.
