Multilog MX is a highly versatile a battery-powered telemetry data logger featuring Bluetooth® programming and download capabilities with cellular communication, allowing operators to access the logger without a direct connection. Multilog MX transmits data through an integral cellular modem with options of: 5G/LTE-M (Cat-M1) and NBIoT or 4G/LTE Cat-1. This gives flexibility in deployment particularly in difficult site situations.
MX includes multiple input and output options. For clean water distribution the single logger includes a full range of logging capabilities from single flow through to 2 pressures (internal or external) + flow channels for PRV logging. The operator uses a single Bluetooth® App for all deployments.
Applications
Designed to fit inside very shallow small chambers (e.g Atplas boxes and small valve chambers), the logger is ideal for many applications, including monitoring flow and/or pressure in a district or zone to assess demand, leakage and pressure conformance and fluctuations. Other logging applications include status, temperature, trunk main and tank level monitoring.
PRV Monitoring, DMA Monitoring, Water Quality Monitoring, Network Pressure Monitoring, Pump Monitoring, Tank/Reservoir Monitoring, Customer Revenue Monitoring, Temperature (Air, Chamber or Water), Rising Mains Monitoring, Incident Logging (GPS), Acoustic Monitoring, Step Testing, Environmental Applications (river level monitoring, non-ATEX waste water level monitoring).
Key Features and Benefits
- Latest telemetry: Multilog MX includes the full range of latest generation cellular based telemetry solutions. 5G/LTE-M and/or NBIoT or 4G/LTE Cat-1.
- Local Programming and Bluetooth® Download: no need to connect the logger directly for data download.
- Magnetic switch: a magnetic switch built into the case of the logger that can turn on the logger for rapid easy activation and deployment.
- Geolocation: option for precise location and detection of movement to counteract loss and unauthorised intervention.
- Pulse Interval Timing: smooths reading set times of infrequent pulses to provide accurate low flow measurements e.g. minimum night flow for leakage calculations.
- Versatile logging: up to 2x digital flow inputs and 2x analogue input (2x internal pressure or external pressure or 1x 4-20mA).
- High frequency sampling for event detection: up to 25Hz and window logging.
- Fully waterproof: IP68 rated for full submersion.
- Flexible & Fast logging: logging from 24hrs to 1 second as standard up to 128 pulses per second. Allows for higher granularity of data which results in higher accuracy to highlight problems which might be missed through normal averaging.
- Secondary logging: can record mixture of minimum, maximum, average or spot values in each sample interval alongside the main recording channel.
- Pseudo logging: true max and min flow and investigation of pressure spikes through Pseudo logging. Helps in identifying true levels of unaccounted for water (UFW).
- External antennas: support improved signal strength (contact HWM Global for more information). Additional antenna requited for Geolocation with Time Synchronisation.
- Long-term monitoring: 5-year battery life. Based on typical use, minimising need for repeat site visits to replace batteries.
- Serial input: for connection to digital meters, proprietary serial interface with LNS/ Hydrophone 2 leak noise sensors, and self-powered Modbus sensors.
- Alarms: real-time alarms can be enabled for immediate response to network incidents.
- For Leak Noise Detection Applications – Automated Time Sync: FME GNSS antenna connection for Network Time Synchronization (GNSS includes the following satellite constellations: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, NavIC, QZSS, SBAS).
- Ambient asset chamber temperature monitoring: ability to monitor chamber temperature from within the logger.
- Remote Firmware updates: over the air remote configuration and updates possible.
