HWM is delighted to announce the launch of Pegasus 2, the advanced, LTE-M and NBIoT-enabled pressure control system.
This intelligent solution for controlling network pressure features low-powered two-way communications, providing the flexibility to remotely modulate pressure according to demand throughout the day.
“The effectiveness of Pressure Reducing Valves is well understood, however incorrect sizing or operation can cause serious issues in the network, such as pressure transients. Pegasus 2 has advanced logging capability that can measure, record and alert network operations to pressure transients created by the valve.
“This information can help prevent catastrophic events damaging infrastructure; it’s a level of detail that will greatly support effective valve commissioning and long term ‘smooth’ operation.”
Dave Crotty, Export Sales Manager, HWM
With the capability to set target pressure by time, flow or a combination of both (with different table settings per day), Pegasus 2 delivers a sophisticated level of targeted control, even on a time basis.
To provide the dependable two-way communications required for data reporting and setting changes, Pegasus 2 contains our innovative modem that is capable of connecting by NBIoT and LTE-M. The modem includes a 2G fallback which automatically engages should an NBIoT signal not be available, ensuring consistently reliable connectivity.
Pegasus 2 is a reliable pressure controller, incorporating a host of additional features including closed loop control and transient logging capabilities, delivering consistent and long-term network monitoring.
