This recognition for excellence in innovating to solve real problems comes at a time when our Wastewater product portfolio has an urgent and critical role to play in supporting our water industry customers commitment to improve river and bathing water quality.

All credit goes to the hugely experienced and capable team we have at HWM.  Our dedicated Engineering, Sales and Operations teams have a deep understanding of water and wastewater assets, the challenges of aging infrastructure, climate change and population growth present and the needs of our customers.  From our specialist facility in Cwmbran we design, manufacture and support our products for distribution globally.

Our SpillSens Wastewater monitoring product was specifically designed to reduce the number of polluting spills from blockages in small diameter (domestic) sewers.  We designed a low-cost, simple to install product suitable for mass deployment across the sewer network, to maximise its impact for water companies and the customers they serve. SpillSens tells the water company when a sewer is about to spill, helping them to deploy ground teams to proactively tackle the blockage before the environment is polluted.

Following the success of SpillSens we’ve gone onto develop market leading Ultrasonic and Radar products to support our customers need for accurate, reliable data to proactively manage their sewer networks.  Our sensor, via a dedicated data logger/telemetry unit reports data and alarms, every 2 minutes to our software platform used by our water industry customers.
